• Applications of the technology, with a primary focus on building science applications 
• Hints, tricks, and limitations that you should be aware of in the field

You will also learn the the basics of how to use your camera or thermal imaging system to

• Diagnose 
• Confirm that the job was done properly 
• Build your business

This class will be taught by the amazing Michael Stuart of Fluke Thermal Imaging

Michael Stuart is a practicing T/IRT Level III Thermographer, certified in compliance with ASNT standards for Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Inspection and analysis.  He is also the Sr. Product Manager for Thermal Imaging Products with Fluke Corporation. He conducts training for customers and Fluke personnel in the fundamentals of thermal imaging for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, building inspection, weatherization, and energy auditing.  He has actively taught various subjects related to Electrical Test & Measurement and Predictive Maintenance at NTI many times in the last seven years, and has presented hands-on courses for various regional training events sponsored by the NJATC, IUOE, and others.

Michael also works closely with WSU Extension Energy Program, Habitat for Humanity, and other building science professionals worldwide to promote and explore the ways in which infrared technology can help create better methods and practices.  He has extensive customer and application experience at Fluke Corporation as a product and marketing manager for both Thermal Imaging and Electrical products, and has been actively involved in product development and customer application development for both areas. He is an active member of the following professional organizations: ASNT, ASTM, RESNET, IDSA, SPIE, Home Performance Washington, Efficiency First and others, and holds committee and subcommittee positions in many. 

Among his recent projects, he has co-authored a book, Introduction to Thermography Principles. This book introduces and discusses the basics of thermography and infrared inspection for the new user.  With this book, and other similar projects, he aims to further spread the use and understanding of the value of thermography for all types of applications.
